Australia pull out of the bidding to host it...

That leaves...

Belgium & Netherlands
England
Russia
Portugal & Spain
United States

I would hate it if we hosted the World Cup.

Only meaningless friendlies for 2 years.

Every game at soul less Wembley.

Pissing with rain, summer holiday in England anyone?

Spain and Portugal pleeeeeeease,

You f***ing idiot, it would be bloody awesome for all of us, great for football fans, and brilliant for the economy. It's a win for everyone, apart from you Mr miserable sod Mail reader.

I presume Oz have done this to strengthen their chances of getting 2022.

It has to go to them sooner then later, surely.

Yes, I think that is a safe bet.

99% of England I speak to when travelling away following the team do not want it here.

Bet you have never been away with England, Mr 'Football Fan'

Agreed. From a selfish point of view, it's unlikely I'll do Brazil (note I did say that about South Africa, in Cologne just over 4 years ago....) Ukraine & Poland (if they do infact actually host it) it's likely I'll do a series of short trips. 2018 in France isn't very exciting so want a good one to look forward to!

England Fans+ member since 2000, been away with England 23 times.

Couldn't disagree more. Most people I speak to want it here in 2018.

Correct, plus their own stupid Confederation came out and said they'd back Eurpoe for 2018. It's clear that there's collussion / collaboration (call it what you want) for a Eurpoe 2018 World Cup - Australia have played a very smart game and should be very well positioned for 2022 now.

Brazil.

I'm fairly sure Europe will host in 2018, given that this World Cup and the next are outside Europe, and that it now looks a safe bet that 2022 will be in Australia, I can't see FIFA keeping the World Cup away from Europe until 2026.

I have been going to England away games since 1980 (First tournament was the 'tear gas in Turin') Euros of 1980

Personally I would LOVE it if we were to host the World Cup in 2018

On a previous thread some weeks ago (when the Treisman affair came out) I said that it would be us or Russia for 2018.

It will be in Europe in 2018

FIFA don't want joint bids.

I think we'll get it - Russia may just be seen as too much of a risk, and not commercially viable enough.

A WC in England would make FIFA an awful lot of money.

Spot on

Spain and Portugal shouldn't get it because of all the monkey chants the racialmalist Spaniards can't help themselves from doing.

Belgium is to flat,

Usa only had it in 94 for fucks sake,

Russia is probably our greatest threat because they are so corrupt and are bound to pay that little weazel Blatter off with leggy blonde whores.
