Australia pull out of the bidding to host it...
That leaves...
Belgium & Netherlands
England
Russia
Portugal & Spain
United States
I would hate it if we hosted the World Cup.
Only meaningless friendlies for 2 years.
Every game at soul less Wembley.
Pissing with rain, summer holiday in England anyone?
Spain and Portugal pleeeeeeease,

It has to go to them sooner then later, surely.
You f***ing idiot, it would be bloody awesome for all of us, great for football fans, and brilliant for the economy. It's a win for everyone, apart from you Mr miserable sod Mail reader.
99% of England I speak to when travelling away following the team do not want it here.
Bet you have never been away with England, Mr 'Football Fan'

Correct, plus their own stupid Confederation came out and said they'd back Eurpoe for 2018. It's clear that there's collussion / collaboration (call it what you want) for a Eurpoe 2018 World Cup - Australia have played a very smart game and should be very well positioned for 2022 now.Yes, I think that is a safe bet.
Where are the 2014 World Cup Finals being held ?

I have been going to England away games since 1980 (First tournament was the 'tear gas in Turin') Euros of 1980
Personally I would LOVE it if we were to host the World Cup in 2018
On a previous thread some weeks ago (when the Treisman affair came out) I said that it would be us or Russia for 2018.
It will be in Europe in 2018
FIFA don't want joint bids.
I think we'll get it - Russia may just be seen as too much of a risk, and not commercially viable enough.
A WC in England would make FIFA an awful lot of money.
