Apparently Spain have said they will go it alone if them being a joint bid will hurt their chances

So Brazil has two major events the World Cup then the Olympics

I presume Oz have done this to strengthen their chances of getting 2022.

It has to go to them sooner then later, surely.

I believe they pulled out primarily because they believe that 2018 is almost certainly going to be awarded to a European bid, but they can then concentrate on 2022 and would stand a good chance of getting it I think.

Is it wrong that I'm really not that interested in our World Cup 2018 bid? Not because I wouldn't love the tournament here, it's just that I think our bid (in terms of the stadiums proposed) is pretty poor. It leaves an especially bitter taste in the mouth seeing MK Bowl being involved in the bid.
