i have been watching this and the quality isnt terriable (i have seen men play alot worse) but why are all the goalkeepers so terrible??

My thoughts exactly (as I have mentioned elsewhere).
And I don;t think it can just be put down to height. They seem to have shocking coordination and handling skills, and are totally indecisive when it comes to claiming crosses or coming off their line.

Some of the outfielders can show some fancy tricks on the ball, but everything is invariably undone by the bint between the sticks.

exactly its not like they are getting lobbed all the time. they seem to drop the simplist of catches and let the slowest of shots go straight through them and they all have the reactions of a retarded snail

Just watched the last 10 minutes on the BBC website and its been a good match. England scored twice in the first minute of me watching so that makes a change as I normally bring bad luck....and Japan just equalised in the 94th minute so I had better turn it off.............................

Was indeed and that was the last kick of the match!

2-2 draw, how did we play in the first 80 minutes, missed all that and saw 3 goals in the last 14 minutes I saw!

interesting oint raised on radio 1 yesterday. Chappers (scott mills side kick) said that the average pub side would more than give the England womens international team a game

I think I agree. Womens football is terrible

I think one of the problems with the women's football is that it is not viewer-led at all. There are not thousands of letters sitting at the BBC begging to see this event covered. Executives have decided to big it up on TV and radio, and are effectively telling people they SHOULD be interested in it.

But the standard of football is considerably lower than you would see at your local non-league club. You might as well send Jackie Oatley to cover the Sussex Senior Cup.

It was a really entertaining game with England playing some good attacking football. Kelly was excellent up front and a damn sight better than some of the strikers who've played for us over the years. England were very unlucky but you have to say what a free kick by the Japanese. I enjoyed it.
