But, but, but... last year was only the first year under the new owners - they do have a great manager and great young players - they just needed a bit more time and to add a few extra players to the squad...
They have already made some astute signings this summer and signalled the intention of the club to build on last season's foundations. Watch them go this year - it is going to be costly for those poor bookies that have mistakenly priced Palace up as rank outsiders for promotion and far more likely to be relegated.
