Quite right about his ownership, he sold the company for a "disclosed fee" (he was born to be in football!) but was asked to continue running it.

I'm not sure anyone knows how much he got for it though!

Think you will find that it was an....."un-disclosed fee".

I think you'll find employees/ex employees have a pretty damned good idea.

Coincedence?

From sky sports

Crystal Palace manager Dougie Freedman says Sam Baldock is a 'very good player', but insists there has been no contact over a move for the West Ham United striker.

Baldock joined the Hammers on a four-year contract from MK Dons in August last year and scored five goals in 23 Championship appearances last season.

However, he did not start a game after mid-January and is tipped to be allowed out on a season-long loan following West Ham's return to the Premier League.

Charlton Athletic and Ipswich Town have also been linked with a bid, and Freedman suggested the 23-year-old is the type of forward he would be interested in.

Freedman told the Croydon Advertiser: "Sam is a very good young player, but we have not made any contact with West Ham."

The Palace boss also confirmed there had been no developments on a deal to bring Chris Martin back to Selhurst Park after he impressed on loan from Norwich City last term.

He added: "He did very well for us, but nothing has happened there at all."

Massive statement of intent from West Ham. If they can afford Zaha, they'll be pushing for the title.

They'll spin it as good news, no doubt with lots of dull quotes from Parish.

I'm still laughing, ha. When this happens be sure to start a new thread! Serious question for Glenn-Murray do you think he will turn west Ham down if they make an official approach? Do you think he will reject them?

And sears is awful player as well :D

He is.

Steve Parish has already said these rumours about Wilf to West Ham + players are false.

If he leaves this summer (he may well do!) I really doubt it will be to West Ham. If it IS to West Ham, they will be paying about £10m.

Freedman has been after Baldock since before he signed for West Ham. He is very keen to sign him, but he's on Premiership wages now and we probably couldn't afford him.
So yes - coincidence.

That TalkSportMOOSE guy is a bullshitter. The West Ham fans don't believe anything he says - he's absolutely clueless.

I think he would reject West Ham. Not because we are a bigger/better club, but because - if he wanted to leave - there would be better options.

If he wanted to leave I can't help but feel he would have signed for Newcastle in January.

Fantastic news, cant wait to see the response from the Palace morons when he goes for practically f*** all. Ha.

"Practically f*** all"????

The West Ham fan on Twitter you're all wetting your panties over is saying at least £7m plus Baldock

How, in your mind, does that constitute "practically f*** all"? That's about £6m more than you've ever sold a player for! ???
