There's a chance. Obviously it's a very small chance though, or we wouldn't actually hold onto him.

But you can't predict plateaus. A player who is and will continue to improve looks identical to one who is improving but will plateau as this new season starts. If Zaha plateaus this coming season, showing no improvement on last, his value would fall back. Suddenly all that potential to improve is gone and with it a large portion of his value, and the 5 or 7 million pound offer from mid low-mid prems teams is replaced by maybe 1 to 1.5 mil offers from other championship clubs.

Our crowds are averaging around 15k, which is pretty much the average for Championship clubs.
As you know, the 15k includes all tickets sold/given away, regardless of whether anyone turns up.

People who buy a ticket and fail to turn up don't get their money back. It makes no difference to us.

IF he does, you'd be right. But it's not likely that he will. He has all of the attributes that you need to be born with to play football. The things he isn't so good can all be improved by practice. There are no holes in his game that couldn't be fixed with a bit of work - he's got fantastic natural talent (which is why he is worth so much)

Glen-Murray, do you have a life away from this thread? Everytime I log on to NSC I see this thread near the top with you as the last poster. I've no interest in Zaha, couldn't give a flying f*** how much he is worth or indeed how great the selhurst faithful think he is.

Sure, but your trying to say your attendances are average for the championship, but that's not correct, you are comparing your ticket sales/gifts with other clubs' attendance figures.

Who gives a shit about Winifred Zaha anyway? He's a good young player on his day but nothing special. Most Seagulls fans have had the pleasure of watching Vicente, now that's talent.

Then don't read the thread, better still don't post if it disinterests you that much. Simple really.

But it gives a false impression when only 12k are actually going through the turnstiles and other clubs in the Championship report an accurate attendance.

Vicente is sheer class , alas poor Winifred will never aspire to his talent. Even though he is now 31 you can see why Valencia turned down a £30M bid from Manchester United to sign him.

Please gentleman, can we keep this thread on track, it's about the highly valuable talent that is Wilfried Zaha. Thank you

If he is supposedly that good why aren't the crowds flocking back to Smellhurst ??? Peter Ward in the line up added another 4 or 5 thousand to the Goldstone crowd

Zaha is a terrific young talent. You are very fortunate to have such a player, I hope he fulfils his undoubted potential.

Same age as Andy Johnson who may have to drop down to the Championship and could be heading to Sarf London as a replacement for Winifred.
