you have a couple of options.

1) bearshare it
2) bit torrent it
3) find some helpful chap with a xp CD
4) purchase xp from somewhere cheap like , dabs, insight, novatech, ebuyer, etc
5) Break into Easy 10's house while he's on holiday and nick his PC

p.s i dont condone the use of any of the above actions except no 4, and always purchase my software legitimatly

Cheapest and safest way I know is to buy a copy of XP home on Ebay.

However, word of warning. Before you do make sure your antivirus and other software is supported by XP or else XP will cancel and take you back to ME. Also, if you have old peripherals that won't help either. It'll do a scan before it starts load but you should check first.

PM me if in doubt.

Do you know your system requirements Les?

Is your system slow, stutters and crashes?

My mum has got an ME, 5 years old and it is become knackered. Won't last another year.

Of course, be my guest. I'll be busy later but I will get back to you. I've done ME to XP migrations before and they often throw up funnies from old software and old hardware drivers.

It's much safer to migrate than going for a fresh build as you don't have to worry about data and at least it'll take you back to a working system.

ME is pants though, even by Microsoft's standards.

Stupid idea. He's still running a Spectrum.
