Bet you're fun at a party

I am indeed, hilarious in fact - unless at the party im talking to someone who has been at the same partys as me, most weekends for over a decade, and has always said the same joke several times during each party.

The last funny thing i heard at football was "There's only one Mrs Morely", hmmm, actually the stuff about the Barnet (i think) goalkeeper's yellow and striped wasp type outfit was good.

Ah but that's why it's funny. It's like a never ending circle of post modern irony, which is why it's lucky that it's short and can only occur a maximum of three times a game.

Don't forget when the team sheet is read out, a whole 18 times then!

It's funny if you're 10.

Comparing it to people leaving early? Seriously.

In the same way as suggesting Crystal Palarse is funny?

If you do think it's funny, each to their own.

I don't and I can't believe I've wasted a minute of my life sharing that fact.

That fact that we have done it to the England captain makes it pretty hard to beat.

WHO could we do it to for a funnier result?

Perhaps a massive tongue-in-cheek WHO?! to Bobby Zamora (obviously followed by a standing ovation)?
WHO? for Zamora
This would be funny:lolol:

It IS funny.

And the fact that we now know that it annoys various humourless grumps, makes it even FUNNIER.

A bloke that sits near me in the WSU always shouts "WHO" louder than anyone else that joins in, and that makes me laugh even more.
I always think the shout of "WHO" is funnier if the sub has a long or hard to pronounce name.

I really think we need a thread started by the fan police to tell everybody what we ARE allowed to do and say at games, although it seems it will be a very short thread

Don't think you could better when Walcott and Wilshere came on together for Arsenal at the Amex. But Bobby Zamora would beat that. Maybe for El Ab's testimonial..........

To fully appreciate the "ooooooo?-ers" they should be imagined as gurners who are not exactly the "Sharpest tools in the box". :)

I think the bit I struggle with is there is always someone close by who thinks it's the funniest thing they have ever heard, as though they have heard it for the first time.

Surely my friend that constitutes 4 opinions rather than one fact, which is kind of ironic looking at your signature.

You're right.

When I do get invited to one - which is rare - I normally turn up with a four-pack of Carling and drink everyone else's Champagne while discussing the latest episode of Top Gear.

I'm glad the Alfa won the race across Lake Como and I can't wait to see the McClaren on their track later in the series.
