It's clear they were given journalist status and their reasons are fine.

But the sewers of Twitter are clearly a bit drained so this story has helped them flow again.

Figures announced today say c.250,000 filed past in the four days (62,500 a day - >2,500 an hour). The Queen Mother was there for three days and had 200,000 (66,000 a day) . I find this interesting, as I don't remember the stories about queues for 24 hours and so on - was it set up differently, less security or something? Or maybe just reported less (or I've forgotten or wasn't as interested).

321,000 for Churchill in three days must have simply been a free-for-all.
