Croatia. Not too hot, not too cold, fantastic locals, cheaper to buy/build, and a more relaxed way of life.

Either there or Boston, beautiful city, and fanatical about their sport.

We were going to buy a bar in Limassol Cyprus in 1995 but i was diagnosed with mouth cancer so it fell through and at our age wouldn't go anywhere. Mind you if I won the lottery I would still buy a place in Cyprus and fly home for every game and visit family with a flat and car in England. probably Worthing area but that is all dreams.

NZ... I have a good job here but its not in a "desirable" industry and so I don't make the points total. Need the other half to become a nurse or something points-worthy and I'd do it for real (once son is old enough to leave home himself).

Not too far, good pace of life, got the weather and the french in the south are actually ok. oh and abundance of very cheap wine.

Alexandria, are you sure? One of the biggest shitholes I have had the misfotune to visit. Still, I'm sure you know the place far better.
I'd actually choose Croydon before Alexandria.
