I don't know why folk are so wanting to be loved by the media. It feels a little desperate.
If I was a neutral I wouldn't have any complaints. When Albion were struggling last year they would be talked about more than the mundane team who'd just beaten them.

Everybody thinks their team is underrepresented, it’s the psychology of a supporter.
This guy spent 15 years editing MOTD and called his book ‘why are we always on last’ because that’s what fans of every team said to him.

Why is that? Because I think that as everybody raves about him and everything in the garden is rosy but I appreciate that his shooting is poor generally and for him to improve that needs to get better.

I thought we've been covered quite well last few games on motd. Especially last week where they discussed how good Trossard is. Not sure what people are expecting?!
Also quite unfunny/unusual to see man united and arsenal second last and last respectively. Sign on their seasons so far!

I wouldn't say calling Connolly MoTM is an error - he was one of our better performers. It could have been anyone from (IMHO) Montoya, Dunk, Trossard, Alzate, Connolly or Propper.

If you are tuning into MOTD expecting any half-decent analysis then I fear your expectations are misplaced. It's just not what they do, and hasn't been for years. Their stock-in-trade is warm, cosy banter; the easy oft-repeated gags about how strikers don't understand defenders, about how Lineker didn't much like running around, about Shearers hair etc. It's designed to feel like a warm cup of cocoa and long may it reign. Far better this than they try and explain what's going on on the pitch.

Just before big-ears announced our game I'm sure I heard him mention something about not being last.
Given that we all know that we have often been on last - I assumed it was a snipe at a letter someone had sent in highlighting this fact.

But people aren't saying that he's the finished article already. The comment was that he's going to pass a lot of Albion goals calmly into the net. Of course he'll need to improve, but he's young and inexperienced, so of course he's going to improve.
It's understandable for someone to post that they think he's going to be great for us. Can you not see how it's a bit knobbish to piss on the suggestion?
