the weekly shop doesn't come from any of those. we go to the greengrocers, butchers, fishmonger, farm shop etc. a few weeks ago mrs starry put in the shopping on that mysupermarket.com site and the cheapest (asda i think) was more expensive than going to all the independent shops. she has time to flit around between all those places so it's ok.

we go to sainsburys usually for things like toilet tissue, dish soap.

Tesco as they have a superstore 5 minutes away but I have no sense of loyalty. They have recently had it renovated and seem to be trying to make it look as downmarket as they can. I use a farm shop in Enfield for veg when I have time and order wine from Virgin.

Sainsbury's although I had the misfortune to find myself in Hollingbury Asda today. I wanted to change my daughters piggy banks up and was told they had a coin machine that would save me shipping bags of coins to the bank.

Never again, it was like a day release centre.

Sainsbury's has those. At least, the New England and Lewes Road one's do.

The commission rate taken on those coin machines is quite high. When we emptied our bottle we got a load of bags from bank and took 5 bags in everyday when we went out shopping.

seriously though, you can speand 50 quid for a decent meal out these days, yet M&S do a fish platter for two, for 12 quid and a bottle of wine for £6 and that is equivalent

Living in Haywards Heath, Sainsburys usually.

Have been known to go to Asda or Tescos.

I had no idea that Morrisons were down here. I can't remember ever coming across one.
