Whats up with Joel Lynch?

I heard a rumour that Lynch will be on his way to Newcastle for £1.1m in the January transfer window...that's why he signed an extension to his contract.

I hope the rumour is bollocks. Wilkins would see none of the money as it would go into "the Falmer black hole"

Falmer is the only important thing as far as the future of the club is concerned, so if he has to go then he has to go. That's life.

Not really qualified to give a meaningful opinion as I've hardly been to any games but on yesterday's performance he is not ready to make the step up. He was given a fairly torrid time by Shuker. This could work in our favour as I doubt many Premiership clubs will pay that sort of money until he puts in a string of really consistant performances against decent quality players.

I actually agree with WW, I think Lynch is certainly over rated. If he goes to a prem club in January he will end up the same way as Virgo, stuck in the reserves and then loaned out to a championship club.
I (worryingly) also agree with WW about DW, I wasn't happy he was appointed as he was certainly the "cheap" option, But to his credit DW had done very well and I am starting to think he was the right choice.

Have i slagged off our manager since his appointment? No, I mearly stated (when he was appointed) that i didn't think he was the right choice. I'm still not ENTIRELY convinced by him, although I almost am. I haven't criticised him today despite our defeat have I?

Talented player....erm, Lynch. Have I slagged him off? No, i've just stated that I BELIEVE some people on NSC think he's gods gift, when he's not really THAT fantastic. A decent full back/centre half in League 1, yes! A half decent full back/Centre Half in the Championship. Yes. A PREMIERSHIP player? Really don't think he's ready, no.

I'm not slagging him off, i'm just playing him down in comparision to some on here. Prove me wrong when he's playing week in week out in the Premier League, but I really don't think I will be.

(Oh, and I don't WANT to be considered a moaner. I am just sick of people dismissing my opinion simply because 'all i do is moan', when in actual fact I do have a few positive remarks to make, and don't want to cover every thread debating them (like this one!)).
