The earliest reference to the Albion that gets thrown up by the Search facility seems to be "I Saw the Game" on Regional Radio at 6.30 pm on 22 January 1938 - Eye Witness Account of Bournemouth and Boscombe Athletic v Brighton and Hove Albion.

The way they refer to the game makes it sound like some sort of crime.
