For me,

"Hector and the search for happiness"

Absolute ɓollocks.

I've left the cinema during films many times but I had to sit in on that because of Mrs P having got tickets for a gala event and there was a free buffet afterwards.

Awful film.

Most recently it was Wes Anderson's Asteroid City. It was beautifully shot, the odd 1 minute scene here and there that was interesting but mostly absolute piffle. I'm sure I have seen others but that is my most recent waste of time.

Death in Venice.

From memory, it seemed to consist entirely of a restaurant scene with a man staring at a teenage boy. Nothing else seemed to happen at all.

We were very very stoned at the time of watching, mind, and the bong seemed to take forever to be passed on the left hand side.

Mickey 17. Stuck in the cinema because I went with a sci-fi nut so couldn't walk out. Absolute dross and very annoying actors/acting.

I'm a sci fi nut .... and there's been an appalling amount of money wasted of late.

But then when something wonderful like the Blade Runner sequel got made, it didn't make money.

Totally agree - looked lovely but WA films these days remind me of the Emperor's New Clothes - absolutely no substance.

Another recent clunker for me was Black Bag which was SO dull.

Ferris Bueller Can Fu 's Day Off

That came out when I was about 15 years old working evenings in the Curzon cinema in Eastbourne.

Loads of the kids from my school came along to see it and they mostly thought Ferris was cool.

I hope none of them bred.
