I think the highest number of Albion fans attending a match was the 41,000 we took to the play-off final in 1991.

Boringly, probably whatever the biggest attendance has been this season. POSSIBLE ones coming close are:

Last game at Goldstone
Jimmy Case testimonial v Liverpool
vs Bournemouth & Blackpool under Liam Brady (3-3/3-2), might be way out but seem to remember them being close to 15k

My first 30+ crowd was the league cup game against Wolves in 69-70, If I remember rightly to get tickets for the wolves game you had to attend the game against the mighty Barrow which drew a 20 + crowd.

barrow 20,936 four days later wolves 32,539

beat pompey in 1st round 20,022

then birmingham in 2nd 24,293

another notable gate that season against luton 20,016

i think we averaged around 15k that season

Amazed I was never in a 30k crowd at the Goldstone, but it seems Liverpool in the rain was a touch under (though never trusted the reporting of those numbers).
.

Checked it, that game was officially 26320. That season (81/82) we only played in front of more than that on seven occaisons, and only once at home, v Aston Villa, 27090. Interestingly, Liverpool away that season, only 28574 (0-1).

Yup, I can claim those as well. Can't wait until the Amex is a 30,000 stadium - although given the number of noshows at every game I don't reckon we'll ever actually see a 30,000 attendance.

33,431 v Blackpool 25/4/78 won 2-1. There were 4 crowds over 30K during the 77/78 season that I saw (Southampton 32,979, Spurs 32,647 and Charlton 31,203 plus the Blackpool one for the final game of the season).

Also saw 30,756 v Sheff Wed during the 76/77 season and in 1978/79 season 32,589 v West Ham and 30,788 v Charlton.

So I have seen 7 home crowds over 30,000
