They are doing what all footballers do and that is playing for their next contract. If we go up that could be with the Albion or it could be with another Championship team but, with a promotion under their belt, their marketability will go up. That might not necessarily translate into more wages (what with FFP) but it could mean the difference between joining a club likely to challenge for promotion as opposed to one near the bottom!
