was 2 very very poor teams and on that performance will be down their all season, cant see how they havent lost yet, they were shocking, but they managed to score 2 goals, how? you tell me,and think mm will have a few words.not going to slate certain players as this is a long season, and moaning wont change the fact we still need the midfield sorting, which i suspect mm has things in hand.keep the faith.lets hope it was just a off day and that it doesnt happen to often.still cant wait of hull, and jakey if you get a game, you know whats needed,;)

Bear in mind we've got a new keeper, a new fullback, a new centreback, a new winger, a new young striker...its going to take a bit of time for the team to gel and settle down into a pattern of play. We're bound to be a bit disjointed for a while, but there's plenty of competition for places this season (not something we've had for a while now).

I think MM has bought in some very promising players. Give em' a chance, it doesn't happen overnight.

Crewe were limited, but they do have a fairly settled side.

Perhaps Crewe were carried along by the crescendo of noise coming from their 93 fans.

i thought we played very very well today.

we passed it, never hoofed it, looked for the options to feet, looked to outpace there defence.

ckr held the ball up brilliantly

carolle looked a class act

knight showed awarness as ever

mcshane and butts are legends

robinson looked brilliant

turienzos mnovement off the ball was superb. about 3 or 4 times he was completely unmarked

chippym and oats looked a tad off the pace

crewes subs were spot on brilliance as was lenny KUNT and on another day we would have won that 3-0 with ease. just two lapses in defence.

i came out of this game VERY positive indeed.

postive that we were lucky to get a point off the worst team in the league?

you obviously didnt read any of my post or actually watch the game did you...

chelsea lost 1-0 to man city last year. does that mean chelsea are worse than man city. hmmmmm

we DOMINATED that first half and played some lovely stuff. we have a young exciting team so think before you comment.

What I saw today was a team finding it's feet without enough pre season to have gelled. On the upside I believe that this is going to be the best footballing side that we have had since we were in the old 1st Division (Premiership) and the moaning that has started at Withdean already is f***ing frustrating to listen to.

To all you doom mongers who are already writing us off- Just remember how long it took the Championship side from Div 3 to gel and the appalling results for the 1st 6 or so games before they did. We then won the league at a canter.

We are not going to be anywhere near the top of the table but I firmly believe we are going to avoid the drop with something to spare........and do it playing football that is worth paying to watch rather than relying on packed defence followed by a hoof upfield.

i'm sorry but i thought oatway and carpenter were woeful at times today. the rest did well, mcshane, knight, hammond and carole in particular. the fact the central midfield was shaky today was a problem. hammond and nicolas should be tried out in the middle as a partnership, in my opinion. however, also very happy. would've been sick if we didn't get the point as we more than deserved it

I didn’t attend today’s match as I was working but managed to listen on SCR when I could. Tuned in just before Leon scored. The commentary was praising the way the Albion was playing Crewe of the park and had total domination and they said there’ll be more goals in the second half. Tuned in with 7 minutes left and it was 2-1 then with 3 minutes left we got our equaliser. By all accounts we was the better team and should have taken all three points.

It went wrong when they made their substitutions, we just went to sleep for a few minutes. If we are going to stay in this division then we need to kill teams of and find the net. My opinion. Probably counts for sod all but hey. It’s a marathon not as sprint, and we're still above palarse.:)

I thought we were fantastic. People are quick to forget the standard of (HOOF!) football we were playing 5, even 3, years ago. We have a squad of players who can actually pass, shoot and even run with the ball now. Inexperience cost us both of those goals, and I don't think the sudden burst of rain helped either. I have never been so excited about an Albion team since... ever.

I have no doubt whatsoever of our staying up.

Well said - spot on. We are playing much better than at this stage of the season last year.

WSU, just below the seagull.
I was really impressed with some of our play in the first half. The way we were passing it around to feet was a pleasure to watch at times. I was just a little bit miffed with our lack of creativity in the last third of the pitch. We never seemed to get enough players to support CKR and Knight. The second half was much the same until Gradi made his substitutions, which worked to good affect, our back four were troubled and we conceded the two quick goals. Great response from the lads to get a thoroughly deserved equaliser. All in all yes dissapointed that we didn't get the result that we deserved, but i am in agreement that give this team another 3 or 4 games to gel then hopefully things will to start to pick up.

I agree with that as a criticism of the second-half, we were overelaborate at times and CKR tired, but in the first half I thought we created a few decent chances while restricting them to next to nothing.

If we play as well at Hull as we did in the first half, I'll be delighted.
