If I were you I'd resubmit the thread tomorrow with the correct language and then dependent on what happens tonight it's worth a debate.

I'll be coming down on Gus's side though even if he has raised hopes (and hopes have been raised, otherwise there would not have been 2000 plus people on here for each of the last two days.)

He said there was a possibility of 6 or 7 things coming in. Which judging by the fact Gus is prone to being misinterpreted and that we obviously don't need 6 or 7 players meant that this was the number of possibilities, for example he intended to sign 3 players with the other 4 options if the others failed.

If you were genuinely expecting to come home and find out we've signed 7 players you need a reality check.

Oh and as for why your thread was deleted, I'd imagine the language used was not appreciated.

There is just the slightest possibility that Gus' command of tha English language, although good, is not perfect enough for the OP.

We have brought in 1 player..... I would say Poyet is answerable for that statement don't you??

So would you rather we sign 6 or 7 players for the sake of signing someone just to make a fan happy because he has little understanding in the way of football transfers etc? Should we sign several players who arn't good enough to improve us and are just here to make up the numbers? I'm sure we could have rushed out and brought several lower league / non league players but it doesn't mean that they are what we want or need and that we would be better off signing them rather than waiting for the right players.

What if the players we were after chose to stay at their original club or chose to join an alternative club rather than joining us, should we panic and waste money on crap players just so we can say we signed 6 or 7? they have a say in the transfer too, they arn't forced into signing for us just because we are Brighton and have a nice new stadium.

We can only play 11 at a time in any one game, why have a squad of 30 or more which could cause problems if players are being left out with the spirit amongst the squad.

That said he said options not we are signing 6 or 7 by the close of the transfer window as you have seemed to interpret it. Options mean, if one doesn't sign, we then look and the next on the list not try to sign everyone.
