King of Schnorrers by Israel Zangwill. It's been on my shelves for a while so I finally got round to reading it - it's great, I wish I'd started it earlier.

Trivia note: I see that Zangwill lived in Sussex and died in Midhurst

The Goalkeeper's Fear at the Penalty Kick - another book I've been to read for ages (and, no, it's not about Robert Sanchez)
I think Sanchez is actually writing a sequel with the working title "The goalkeepers fear of being paid lots to sit on a bench"

The Last Train to Zona Verde - Paul Theroux

Quite simply Theroux at his finest, brilliant book

Written in 1896 ! One of my friends back home recommended this book to me . I thought because it was written over 125 years ago, it would feel so ridiculously dated . But it doesn’t really it’s a great read .

It was wonderful. It would make for great TV. I'm looking for more Zangwill now
