Ballack has always done better for Germany than for Chelsea; they'll certainly miss him a great deal. But he is such an arrogant git, in an otherwise generally friendly team set-up, that their morale might be improved by his absence.

What a genuine shame. He is probably the unluckiest man in football. Suspended from a World Cup Final, had 2 seasons where he was in the team finishing second in EVERYTHING (Bayer Leverkusen lost both domestic cup finals, lost the Champs League final and came 2nd in the league!, and then same again at Chelsea). Poor chap, with regards to the World Cup.

Yes it is. You could say Adam Hinshelwood is lucky as he played league football and was an England International, whereas some bloke who was 17 or 18 and very promising broke his leg before his career could get going.
