I have not had to use the P&R for Withdean so it was a new venture and I was pleasantly surprised how efficient the service was and informative due to a young lady informing us on how to get back.It was only a 10 min journey there and back.

As a newby I would like to know how many zones there are on the hill. I counted only A -D

Agreed - it worked well on Saturday.

I was told by someone that for the new season car parking at the P&R site would have to be pre-booked? It was news to me - certainly everyone will need a travel voucher but pre-booking didn't sound right. Wondered if they had got mixed up with the parking at Falmer or is it a cunning plan to avoid away supporters parking there! :lolol:

Ideally we need a P&R to the East of the city. Otherwise those of us from this way have to drive past the stadium to get to any of the current ones just to come all the way back again. Then the reverse afters. Lewes would be ideal.

This would be my usual place for park and ride coming from suffolk. On the unlikely event of gettin a ticket on a game by game basis how does the travel voucher work. I've only seen suggestions of books of.30 etc thus far and not available online which is where I would try.and purchase any ticket

Thanks

I keep hearing about the impossibility of people getting tickets. There are 1500 up for grabs with 18,000 season tickets sold. If I was a non season ticket holder I would be pretty confident of getting to any game I fancied including the opener as long as I was prepared to put the effort in.

That's what it said in the letter that came with the ST.
"All car parking must be pre-booked, including P&R", or words to that effect.

Due to work, we'll be cutting it fine most games, so what time does the last P & R leave, for Falmer.

I am looking into this now, I'm not completely lazy, I just thought NSC might get me ahead of our working out.

From Mill Road? Probably when the car parking area is full.

Bear in mind, it filled up when the crowd at Withdean was about 7,500. I don't imagine the demand for spaces will reduce when crowds rise to 22,000.

it does indeed say that, although i think what they mean is you have to have a pre bought voucher, i.e can't pay on the day. But I would certainly welcome a booking facility for P&R as i will be travelling some distance and i'm convinced they will all be full at least an hour before k.o.

i dont know where notters gets this 'away fans only for mill road' in the future as i stopped ken brown on saturday after the game and asked if any more park and ride sites
were being sort out and if they were 'shared', his reply was some sites in mind and sites for all fans

In all honesty mate I think Mill Road will be full by 2pm on matchdays as the posters above said. It was pretty much 95% full when we were at Withdean and sometimes overspilled for big games with big away followings so will be massively oversubscribed so cutting it fine won't be an option.
