Pre-booked sounds sensible to me even though it's a minor inconvenience. People who can't find a spot are likely to miss most of the match by the time they get an alternative journey sorted. Better to know the numbers in advance.

Racehill was indeed running, journey time around 10 mins although it was nowhere near full. Journey back was on a bench bus, first time which was odd sitting in the back part.

Is there not another site further up the A23 which could be used for away fans P+R?

Are there not some dis-used (or virtually unused) roads that were the old A23 running parrallel with the current one?

Also for a possible P+R from the East. Might only be a cpl of hundred max, but that disused road that runs parralel with the A27 between Falmer and Lewes. On the south side by where the old Little chef was?

I was thinking of walking to Mill Hill P & R if so whereabouts do you get on the bus, at the bottom, middle or at the top of the road..?

This would be my usual place for park and ride coming from suffolk. On the unlikely event of gettin a ticket on a game by game basis how does the travel voucher work. I've only seen suggestions of books of.30 etc thus far and not available online which is where I would try.and purchase any ticket

The bus departs from one of four stops, depending on how far up the hill the parked cars have reached i.e. it will initially run from the bottom and then start using stops B, C, D as more people park up. But I'm sure that if you flagged it down or asked a steward at the bottom of the hill it will stop for you otherwise it's a long walk !

what with teams like palace millwall west ham and leeds and all of them apart from one a night game
dont think it would work!!!

I might be wrong, but I don't reacall any trouble for the past 12 seasons at Withdean with Leeds/Palace/Millwall fans at the P&R.
