I’ll say it for the second time on this thread…..

CLASS IS PERMANENT

Give him a new contract, leads by example, organises the defence, great leader.
Said this before, but considering we have dished out far more expensive contracts for perma-injured Ex Liverpool players, Webby deserves a new 5 year deal.

They’ll be talking to the doctors before they offer him a new deal

Webster was outstanding today. Much improved player.
Three things which used to set him back were 1) Always a mistake in him 2) Took him a few games to get up to speed 3) injury prone.

1) and 2) seem to have disappeared. Whilst he has just come back from injury, he was only out for a few weeks and came back without issue and player a full game. He also, literally, looks a different player.…looks lean, a bit more muscular and determined. Long love Webster v2.0

He was very good yesterday, made a mistake in first half when he was strong enough with the ball but fortunately it came to nothing. Yes his pairing with JPVH works well. I guess the question is whether the club is looking to bring in a new CB or two who might have some pace , also what are they going to do with Cashin.

He’s been incredible this season when he’s been fit. Makes you wonder where we’d be if he was a bit less injury prone.

This sums him up for me. Always had a calamitous mistake in him and a couple of ridiculously wayward passes in him per game. Feels like he's suddenly got serious and cut them out.

Great from him and the coaches who have trained this out of him

Are we sure (and I genuinely don't know the answer to this) that we haven't got an option for another year for him?
Au contraire - we know that he is contracted until June 2026 and that we DO have the option for another year on top of that (well, that is if we believe Jack Rosser, and I know of no reason not to):-
