I dont wear colours to away games since I was about 15 and got a major hiding on a train back after losing to Swansea over the xmas period about 12 years ago.

Two black eyes at yule time, I looked like a fcuking Panda around the xmas table........."Cracker?" "Fcuk off"!

Also as others have pointed out, the pub factor also, just more hassle than it's worth if you ask me.
that's not on , 15 and you got ironed out by the jacks ? or some one else ?

It's just a normal game, wear what you normally would away. Personally, if there's one game this season to think carefully about in this respect I'd say it's Wolves, but even then just do what you want.

I got smacked a few years ago at Leeds whilst wearing colours. No aggro, bloke just snuck up behind me and belted me on the back of the head in the middle of the station. The officer who arrested him (I was with about 10 mates) said that the fact I was wearing colours was good as he could write off the idea (which the idiot was trying to claim) that I was a bit of a hoolie myself who was up for it. But on the other hand, if I hadn't been wearing them he might never have picked me out. So who knows.

When we played Cardiff about ten years ago, the big spoons in town had a signs that said "No Burberry, Aquascutum or Stone Island". Colours were fine.

I was once violently assaulted by a chicken bone chucked by one of their teen hoolies while we were held in the pen after a game a few years back. Does that count?

Also in the 'away cage' to the station please sing 'You're Not Scary Anymore', but as soon as you get into the mixed queue, zip your jacket up and do not say a thing.

There's a good chap.

Any chance you can film this and upload to You Tube? Should be good for shits and giggles later.
