Of course it would. People always seem to convince themselves our players won't be moving and all because Brighton is the best city in the WORLD.

It's nonsense. At some point, the money and the chance to fulfill a top player's potential becomes an issue.

Unless it's to palace. That's when some respect and loyalty comes into play. Same as all clubs. You shouldn't join your rivals if you've any respect for those that pay ur wages. Some sort of morals should come into play if ur a decent person... my opinion of course. There will always be an offer just as gd if not better on the table or round the corner...
