Off course he did. That bad Mark McGhee. Kuiper refused to train under McGhee which is why McGhee wouldn't have him in the squad, and quite right two.

Do you think Kuipers apologise and made up with McGhee pre seaon because McGhee refused to play him????

It's funny how we have never had Michel's side of the story. :glare:

in view of the fact that we will STILL be in div 2 next season then i'd let henderson go and keep FDM. henderson will NEVER stay with us for another season at this level. and as FDM's contract is up this season aren't we in danger of losing him too ?

Why not? They both want(ed) out because they were not in the team. Michel, though, decided this after five years of loyal service and top quality goalkeeping. Henderson came to this conclusion after a dodgy half-season, and being dropped for ONE game. Just listen to Michel on the radio before the match tonight: "It would be such an honour to captain this team." Now that's the sort of passion and desire I want, not some jumped-up tit who gets in a strop after losing his place for one match.
So one was dropped because of his performance.
The other was dropped because he was on international duty.

You don't think you can compare the two?

If my mum was Irish (she isn't) she could warm the bench in an Irish goalies kit.

Being an Irish international means Henderson is playing above himself at the Albion, and is merely our second best keeper.

I think you'll find we are in Division One, or Division 3 in old money.

Oh for fucks sake.
KUIPERS DID NOT REFUSE TO PLAY
KUIPERS DID NOT RUFUSE TO SIT ON THE BENCH

If you don't rate the fella then FINE, back it up in football terms. But please stop peddling this utter bullshit theory about Kuipers effectively going on strike. He had a much-publicised falling out with McGhee, and would not back down and apologise. As a result, MCGHEE made the decision to omit him from the squad. That was MCGHEE'S DECISION. I'm not saying McGhee was wrong in that, but its a big difference from your (constant) claims that Kuipers then refused to play, refused to sit on the bench, and refused to train.

f*** SAKE.

As I recall, Kuipers had a fall out with McGhee and his teamates which is why he was told to apologise to his teamates. Hw refused to do this until it became apparent to him that no other club wanted him. He should have been kicked out as soon as he refused to apologise to the rest of the players.

And you accuse the "Kuipers Krew" of being biased? You're all as bad as each other.

Michel was only dropped because of his injury, not because of his performance. If you remember, he was in flying form when he did his shoulder in. Am I not right?

Therefore, they both lost their place through something other than performance. One is still here and has regained his rightful spot in the team. The other is sulking after ONE game out. How do you defend that?
I dont agree. Kuipers went on his bigsulk after Big Flo replaced him. During that time we tried to sign Henderson, and although Kuipers had two more games (Because Flo was so shit), as soon as Henderson arrived, he was played instead of Kuipers. Kuipers played five games last year in a two and three game run, during which time he was dropped twice. HArdly call that 'flying form'.

No, he had a fall out with MCGHEE, after he was dropped in favour of Chaigneu. There was never any mention of a fallout with team mates, and McGhee never said anything about Kuipers having to apologise to his team mates - this was a spat between Kuipers and McGhee, end of.

Christ, the SHIT that gets flung around on here !

That wasn't when the badger was talking about.

Kuipers oly lost his place because of that horrific injury he got at Forest (I'm sure Chez will tell us why the injury was caused by his own bad goalkeeping).

I just object to people being against a young goalkeeper, because he's not their hero. If we signed Paul Robinson, he wouldn't be good enough to some people all the time Kuipers is here.

I am biased but the reason for my bias is that I believe that Henderson is better.

I dont think in all my years of supporting Brighton Ive ever seen such a vicious debate over team selection between fans. I'm not sure of the reason for that but I must admit I find it quite worrying. In all the shit weve been through its been the fans togetherness that has played a big part in us still being here today.

Andy Naylor & The Argus actually. And I can confirm that the paper actually said that he refused to apologise to his teamates.
