Unless its an expensive unit I would purchase a new one mate, after call out fee parts etc its not worth the agg.

Unless its an expensive unit I would purchase a new one mate, after call out fee parts etc its not worth the agg.

That's often the case with the cheap machines on sale these days, although these machines with moving parts just require a little help sometimes. I was hoping it was just the carbon brushes that were well worn, but I've replaced those and still no spinny spinny.

I've been looking. No 15 year warranty though. Some expensive models might be 10, several are 5, and some are just the basic 2 I think.

I can't imagine Comet will have any, but I'm going to take a look anyway.

Don't even think about buying a Candy washing machine, in case you were...

And why go to Comet when there will be no after-sales service when it goes wrong (not that Comet ever offered that...).

I would look at getting John Lewis 'never knowingly undersold' to match the price you find elsewhere for a model they stock, as I think they usually offer a 5 year guarantee for some kitchen appliances.

And go through Quidco first before buying (cashback site).
