Who do we think is going to win the 112th US Open?

Will Rory be able to produce the same stunning performance as last year? Will Westwood or Donald finally be able to win their first major?

I am going to have EW bets on Westy, Kuchar, Day, Scott and Fowler.

14th at Olympic Club in 98 as a amateur, 3rd in this years Masters, won at Sawgrass last month. I'm on Matt Kuchar 30/1 at Hills......also the last time it was held at this venue our own Lee Westwood came 7th, so no stranger to the course,,if only he could putt.....aaarrrrgggghhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dustin Johnson ew at 33's for me.

It would be a first for someone to win the US Open AND win the week before. The bloke is so laid back it's unbelieveable.

Should be a good one this year, so many people in form and in contention. A tricky course I think. I think it will be an American, but it could be time for Donald to finally win a big one. Big Phil has been out of sorts the last few weeks, but you can never write him off.

Woods (8-1) is getting back to somewhere close to his best, maybe worth a punt, but I think Fowler is the best of the Amercians and at 30-1 is my tip.

I also fancy EW's on:
Adam Scott 40/1
Zach Johnson 40/1
Bubba Watson 50/1
Keegan Bradley 66/1

and Retief Goosen at 150/1.

But I hope Westwood wins, deserves it.

Have some great value bets already...
Dustin Johnson 50/1 (placed last Friday)
Peter Hanson 150/1 (placed just after The Masters)
Tim Clark 200/1
Davis Love III 200/1
Padraig Harrington 80/1
Matt Kuchar 33/1

This week is going to be brutal absolutely brutal. They are talking about the first 6 holes being extremely hard and that players will gain on the field if they get to the 7th tee in 2 over:ohmy: Straight driving and a short game to die for is the key here hence Westwood has absolutely no chance as his short game isn't good enough. Be interesting to see how Tiger goes as he looked good last week but his price is short enough and I think his wayward driving will put paid to him here. Looks a wide open US Open to me and I'm really looking forward to it. There's going to be some late nights coming up.

any other tips? im thinking mickelson?? 20/1

Had a good start to the early season, but has done little since, but you can never write him off. He's playing with Tiger and Bubba today, so that should be interesting - there'll be a huge crowd following that threesome, but it won't bother Big Phil.

Justin rose is playing well and is a good shout, Luke Donald for me to win and a small e/w on fowler who is knocking on the door, will also have a punt on fowler for the British open.

As much as I'd like to see JR win, I just don't think he's got enough for a major. Fowler will wins majors, I think there's no doubt about that, I don't see this being his week. I don't bet anyway, but I don't think I'd bet on golf, there's just too many potential winners, and this week even more so - a lot of people are playing well at the mo. If I was going tp punt for someone, I'd go for Mahan first - but would love to see Donald, Westwood or Tiger win.

I would like Donald, but I think its too long for him. Westy must be in with a shout. I have a feeling some
middle ranking American who knows these courses will win - very dull. Here's hoping for a European
