Too far away for a P+R. It would take way to long for a bus to get back again, for the next trip.

The Draft Adur Local Plan 2012 which finished its consultation process at the end of October shows the area north of the training ground as being used for housing (approx 450) plus community and employment use,

The USA Grand Prix was held 25 miles from Austin but they managed to move 80,000 people to and from Austin to the circuit very efficiently so I am sure they could use more than a few buses ie bus every 30 mins from about 12.00 noon if they used 2 double decker buses buses each trip that would be 210 or 12 buses approx 1, 000 people. Probably need more at the end of the game.

Well spotted. This land has not been dumped with spoil (marked 1 on the map). In my opinion this is good enough for housing. It is the land immediately to the east of the area marked 1 on the Adur plan that was chosen for the Golf Course. The PO was not clear.

I will have a look at this next week.

Technical: somebody has to pay for flood defences though to revise the housing area allocation from Moderate Flood Probability to Low Possibility.

The worst thing about Falmer (from the west Coastway) is the train service to the matches, especially for evening games. Going back afterwards is not so bad.

Did the Mash Barn Nimbys miss this threat to their beloved open space and the chance of increased traffic in their eagerness to oppose the Training Ground?

It is not important. The point is that there is more land there to make a better training ground.

Excuse my ignorance, i take it this wasn't on offer when the architects drew their original plans?

Hidden agenda.

Like a player that has potential. You have to spot it.

I am chess player not a poker player, but it Bloom's language it is like filling a straight or flush in poker from a wild card.

The decodom play. Genius.

I think the Mash barn residents would be delighted with a Park and Ride being established at the TG. It would really cement the relationship.
Plus Seagull Travel would be a bit upset with business being poached.
