What's really worse, making a horse pun or calling someone a f-ing disgrace ???

I think that is the point. Its the degree to which some people take something is the issue. There are people on here who are your best mate to your face, but call you a c**t on here. Is that acceptable? Personally I find the picture of the 4 poofs posted on here at regular intervals offensive and has caused me no end of grief at work where the picture has done the rounds...I also find the picture of the Down Syndrome laddie in Reading shirt offensive as know people who have DS children....yes its highly hilarious to those who post it, but I see it differently. But I have no control of what is posted and I suppose that is correct.

I did make "puns" but they were just that...a play on words, however I think some of the stuff went over the top - but if you accept the rules of a "message board" then you have to accept the stuff that goes with it.

As I said above, this had been building for some time and I think the DO thread was the "last straw" ( no pun intended)

I just think it is a shame

So, just to clarify: some people crack horse puns and it's OK, some people crack horse puns and it's bullying? I'm so glad we've made that clear. :shootself

DTG didn't realise that the four poofs photo was a source of upset.

This has been coming for a while.

I think with all the stuff GG has done for REMF etc that it is shame he has been hounded out of here.

there are some people on here are are far too far up their own arses to realise some of the stuff aimed at certain individuals go beyond the boundries of banter....but hey as they say, its only a message board, what does it matter.

well out of this message board, GG and others raised in excess of £40,000 and have helped underrprivaledged kids in the US and over here so perhaps it does matter? Perhaps that will be gareths legacy.

You have probably noticed I do not post on here as much as I did, much really for the same reasons as gareths. Some of the personal abuse i received over the radio show was classic NSC "humour" , but to react to it is to be ragarded as some sort of wuss.

Well I think the board will be worse off for not having someone like gareth around, but hey...its only a message board

Errr, from what I can gather reading this thread, YOU'RE one of the main reasons why Uncle SPUNKberg has left NSC.

How do you explain that? ???

Oh wait, you've flounced off as well because someone posted a picture of someone that looks a bit like you. :jester:

Ok, i dont post on here as much as the people in question, but i gotta say how the f*** can you be bullied on a message board it's insane.
:glare:

Precisely, you choose what to read on a message and stand by what you post.

I feel sorry for Uncle Spielberg. If some people making puns about a dead horse really upsets him, I just can't see how he can cope with life in the real world.

Well I for one think this board will be much the poorer for the lack of Uncle S. He's like a part of the furniture for christs sake. I Didn't always agree with the fella, and to be honest I think he did go a little OTT on the Dessie thread, but his stuff was always worth reading IMHO. Whenever I'd seen a reply from Uncle S, I always clicked to read it because, well, I just liked reading his stuff.

I hope he reconsiders.

He's a decent fella with strong opinions. Agree or disagree, he was always top entertainment on here. I for one really hope he comes back.

Personally I think US should get off his high horse and stop saddling us with his nagging. We need to get stable again, hay, its hardly the last straw.
