Buying someone with a release clause makes sense for us, as we will find no value anywhere else. I think he will be decent enough although if the 4 month layoff is true we should steer clear.

Thinks he's almost ready to play

"24yo Leeds midfielder close to returning from injury + expected to be back after international break."

look adams isn’t a bad player, and would do what we need him to well. but i’ll be very disappointed if he’s our only replacement, due to the fact he has an atrocious injury record. if our issue now is that we’re missing ball-winning ability without caicedo, then adams only solves that so far as there’s going to be quite a few games this season where he’d be unavailable due to injury. if we don’t sign anyone else who can step into that role then we’re just back to square one, and totally at the whim of the player’s terrible fitness record

Would it be mental to play Milner as our ball winner?

Had hamstring surgery in March and not played since - why would you risk any money on him, when seen what hamstring surgery has done to Lamptey.
Would be madness.

Apparently back in ? He did pass his Chelsea medical, but they pulled out so the deal collapsed

Not sure that we are actually interested, but the timing of the medical results arriving and Chelsea backing out of the deal on the same morning that they were also desperately searching down the back of the sofa for another twenty million quid to make the Caicedo deal happen was, let's say quite coincidental.
