What the club should do is introduce a minimum spend per adult, say £20 This could be done by charging each adult £20 entrance in exchange for vouchers that can be used at the bar.

At the end of the day there are only so many tricks and options to generate more money. All the sensible ones have been used up and the marketing force at the club are understandably trying to generate new income to justify their salaries. Inevitably there will be a balance between how many marketing heads they need and what income is being generated. Methinks they are currently scraping the barrel.

The three people who've paid full whack for the season will be LIVID.

Or now pleased they might have an extra couple of people to talk to?

How about offering ,value for money, and this can work. Produce a venue, with comfortable seating ,a range of snacks and well priced drinks.relaxed dress code,TVs etc,to take on any local pubs. This venue opened as long as possible before and after a match,a meeting place for friends.IMO this novel approach would gain in popularity given time, even turn a profit and the fans would not feel just slightly exploited .Dicks Bar 2 ,it may be ,and that always has a queue to enter.

Plenty in the North Stand concourse before the game getting far more excited watching the Manchester derby than was necessary. Weird.
Same in the east. Should have heard the shout when they thought man U had equalised in the second half, only for it to be disallowed. Prats.

If they made it £12 entrance in exchange for vouchers then PB would get to save face and people would get to spend money. Everybody wins!
