wherever the money is
Anyone at the game today? if so how did Trinidadian central-defender Brent Sanchoz and Argentinian striker Federico Turienzo play. Magoo has been quoted as saying that he was pleased with them but it would be nice to get a fans view.

Sanchoz looked quality to me, only playing Lewes i know, but he looked very solid. Would be very happy if he signed for us. Him and Butters/Hinch at the back along with Dodd should be a pretty good defence. Not so sure on Mayo yet, he was caught out for both goals today.

Would like to see more of the Argie, he didn't quite do enough today.

Hate to say this about Kerry but if after 10 years we are still in your words "not so sure on him" then we really need to look at a replacement. I agree with you BTW.

I liked Sancho and Dodd can play at left back so that would solve the back four problem

Every game he's played so far has been at right back though.

I am afraid that Kerry could well be a considerable liability in the Championship this year. His lack of pace could be very telling.

Well we've always known about his lack of pace. But last time he had some time out of the team he came back looking better. But i think its clear to say, he's only in the team coz we have no one better.

Hove, f***ing ACTUALLY.
Dear oh dear, i've (and I'm sure some of the scottish lads have too) seen Brent Sanchoz having the PISS taken out of him on a regular basis during his time in the SPL.

Are we really that desperate ?

Well, Sanchoz didn't put a foot wrong today, and that's all you can ask. Quick, good anticpation and resolute tackler. I say what are we are we waiting for.

The Argie guy, agree with Referee that Chris McPhee came to mind, but I wouldn't commit myself to say better. Needs a few run-outs against the league sides and needs to do a bit better than today IMHO.

Well, against Lewes admittedly, he looked a good player... strong central defender... good in the air, good tackles, played right ball out of defence...

Jury out on Turienzo, but good in the air, some nice touches... his shooting let him down...

Mayo caused both goals... very, very worrying, IMHO... if he can't cope with the pace of a winger playing for Lewes, how will he cope in the Championship?... just too slow...

Sanchoz put in some meaty tackles early on and looked very composed. I thought the striker looked pretty good and fitted in well as it was his first game.

"My life's in pieces"
Thought I'd have a look on the Dundee fans forum to find out a bit more about Brent Sancho - seems they offered him a 1 year deal earlier in the season, but he was looking elsewhere & didn't take them up at that stage. Once the season ended, he expected to sign the 1 year contract, but Dundee were no longer in a position to take him on.

Looks like there are mixed views on him - some quotes:

"Not the greatest in the air, spends far too long away on international duty for Dundee's liking, strays out of position occasionally, but love him or not he gives everything for Dundee when he pulls on that shirt. Losing or losing a late goal like today really affects him badly. His shot stopping ability is amazing, not to mention his ability to win freekicks in our own box and not forgetting he is our top goalscorer in open play for at least the last 5 games.
I hope we keep him, and I hope he gets his knee sorted so he can play 90 minutes pain free."

"I thought Sancho was excellent on Saturday, but his huge fault is that he's always liable to let players peel off him and he's a bit dodgy at times."

"...he's a liability with his dodgy distibution and wayward tackling. Have to agree with Cav, Sancho has to take a large part of the blame for the massive ammount of goals let in this season."
