No response yet. I guess that we all give him a chance to do the honorable thing for the first time in his life before every one of us with a Tory MP writes them a short message along the lines of:

'I trust that you'll be submitting your letter of no confidence to the 1922 committee today. Keeping a Prime Minister who has lied to parliament and the country about having broken laws that he made is not an option for a democratic country governed by the rule of law. There is simply no way of excusing this and any MP who tries to do so would be failing the electorate by prioritising the career of one man over their sworn responsibility to Queen and country.'

The oath that they swear to become an MP states:

"I (name of Member) swear by Almighty God that I will be faithful and bear true allegiance to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth, her heirs and successors, according to law. So help me God."

You seem to be arguing different points.


Nobody but the Conservatives are at fault for the disgusting mess running the country. They alone are responsible for kicking out moderates and replacing them with Brexit-backing nodding dogs who are forever saying "This country wants to move on and Boris is the best man to lead us" every time yet another disgusting resign-worthy misdemeanour comes to light.

And the Labour party are certainly deluded if they think they can ever gain power with a left-wing shadow cabinet running their show. Whatever you think of their policies, the media simply won't allow it - they'd rather smear them than promote an honest debate.

So here we are, a costly (and in my view, damaging) Brexit has been implemented, we have a chancellor who makes stupid arguments why energy firms can't be taxed for their obscene profits despite it being clear that the people at the bottom are in a desperate situation, a government that has allowed their chums to waste obscene amounts of money on stuff like PPE that doesn't work, but is too mean to think through how universal credit might work for people who need it. And you can bet it is all because they don't want to face awkward dinner party conversations with party donors rather than anything resembling a principle.

All in all, this is the worst government we've ever had by a mile, and it isn't really fair to blame opposition parties beyond having a bit of delusion.

I agree that Corbyn would have been way more competent than Johnson- almost anyone would be

unfortunately he failed to convince large swathes of the British public (plus an absolute hatchet job carried out by the right wing media)

I think he did inspire a huge swathe of people, he was undermined by the media (Nonsense about him being unpatriotic and anti-semitic) and the traitors in his own party (Forde Report) otherwise I'm convince he would now be leading this country in a much more appropriate and morally responsible way.

It’s utterly depressing, the worst part is I can’t really see a way out.

The Tories haven’t got the backbone to kick him out, well enough of them anyway.

The timing of all this has saved him, 6 weeks ago and he would have been toast, I’m not even sure they will get battered in the local elections with the Ukraine issue going on.

My point, badly out is the only way I can see them losing is if Labour/Libs and possibly the SNP have a pact - but will that happen?

As a Lib Dem voter my preference is for PR, but it isn't going to happen any time soon. Therefore, I agree Labour and Lib Dem should merge and let Labour's Corbyn, McDonnell and their hard left cronies form a Socialist Party.

There is virtually no difference from the political ethos of a Layla Moran from a Rachel Reeves, Keir Starmer from Ed Davey, Tim Farron from Wes Streeting.

What happened to the infamous garden party with them all lounging around drinking wine with Cummings? Think Carrie was there too which negates the argument it was a works do!!
