These fourteen clubs competed in all 4 of the last Premier league seasons.

Brighton’s points total puts them in 9th place. Does this confirm that we are top 10? Can we maintain this? Can we even improve our position?

Man City, Liverpool & Arsenal have in all honesty been in a separate league – but all the teams above us are arguably ‘bigger’ than us and will be hard to overhaul, so should we be just grateful and content to hang on to our status for as long as possible?

It’s the same with Women’s team finishing an impressive 5th – behind the big four.

I guess I’m happy to be ‘the best of the rest’.

Got to credit Brentford for also being top 10. Impressive!

And our rivalry with CP is genuine and spicy with them still hanging on to our coattails. (Shame about the women though).

You should be very satified Tony! I think you've done it!

It's not a question of done it - it's 'keep doing it'

Good post and interesting to see that table. Makes me pretty proud to see that!

Anyway, that goal feels done to me, in as much as for the last 3 or 4 seasons, I’ve been looking at how we achieve Europe, not nervously down at how we escape relegation. And I’m normally an Eeyore, not a Tigger.

Next step is two fold:
1. Europe (in whatever form) regularly
2. Win a f***ing cup!

I think Tony will now be hoping for a trophy within next 3-5 seasons.

Trophies are harder as they do require an element of luck at times, but I think it’s a reasonable target.

The team should really be practicing penalties more! That includes Bart, trying to save them.

If we'd won one of these, there's a realistic chance we could have lifted a trophy:
League Cup QF vs Charlton
FA Cup SF vs Man Utd
FA Cup QF vs Forest

I think Bart as a superb keeper, but he's absolutely dreadful at saving penalties. I get it's nigh on impossible, but he rarely even goes the right way so maybe there's something in his coaching that's awry?

Either that, or find a way of winning big cup games before it even GETS to pens.

Or extra time!

There's almost an argument for subbing him at the end of Extra Time.

How would it look with a three season aggregate? Would we be above Spurs or Man Utd? We'd be closer I think?

Yes - we finished 20 points behind Spurs in 2021-22, so take that away, and we're above them!

So if we finish 14 points ahead of Spurs and Man Utd next season we are 7th over 5 seasons?
