Good interview with Tony Bloom on BBC Sports extra after the race just now. He's now on the dash back to Brighton!

And then they commented on the £400000 bet someone laid on his horse to win and suggested he must have enjoyed the race!

So it was suspected he was the person who placed the huge bets on the race. Plus prize money etc plus other bets. Probably cleared a million yesterday. A day in the life of Tony Bloom.

Never knew there is bookies taking that size of bet. Especially from somebody in the know like an owner

Reliably informed that bloom had the double yesterday with 840k outlay.

He will have got more generous odd but at starting prices he would have won £2.4m yesterday.
