But from a personal personal point of view, being a lone Englishman in Costa Rica, I'm looking forward to watching it here!

Fair enough. Missed that :dunce:

BBC - England given tough world cup draw
Go to CNNSI.com - US Get NIGHTMARE Draw
Go to smh.com.au - Socceroos handed terrible draw

Conclusion: there aren't many shìt teams in the WC these days. And those that are, are in France's group.

Incidentally, there have been 19 world cups - SEVEN of them have been won by teams in our group.

Dont write off a team like Costa Rica.
They will be used to the heat/humidity. Alot of their players play competitive football overseas (though i think only ruiz in a 'top' league) and we all said Algeria would be a walkover in the last tournament....and that went well.

Well I'm in Venice for the Italy game. If I've been on the vino I'll doubt I'll even be able to keep awake.

I can't help but think that Italy will be more than a bit worried. Had they not taken their foot off the gas in their last two qualifying games they would have been seeded. Now they are in a group which many would say they will struggle to get out of.

COME ON ENGLAND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
