I used to do some man and van work and would often get a tip of anywhere between £10-£50 depending on the length of the job

BUT although I never tip Postman, Dustman etc I did tip the removal men, mainly because we had a ******* of a staircase and lots of the furniture had to go through the windows which was hard work. There were three of them, so I tipped them £30.

Instead of a tip I (well Mrs Surry Jim) made them bacon sarnies, and brought them a few beers from the local offie.

They were more than happy.

Tip big on leaving your house and then if you have furniture placement issues when you get to the new place they will be more than happy to help and then tip again on completion

£20 is a good amount. I previously worked in removals and we were very easy to please,£20 and they'll be really happy, a steady supply of tea/coffee and biscuits will also make for a happy removal team. Provide both and you'll be a legend

When i moved Barnes to his house he didn't tip but he did help with the humping and lifting of wardrobes etc and he gave me his training top

Absolutely, it was a bit tight for the other 2 lads but I didn't care I meant he didn't give us a tenner each or something like that.

No but he fell over a couple of times and blamed the wardrobes.

No he worked tirelessly and provided us all the tea and biscuits we could manage, then we called him useless and left before he'd finished moving the last boxes.
