So that's Connolly injured. Which leaves Maupay and Welbeck available. It's your time to shine as an auxiliary target man, Dan Burn!

Good job we didn’t leave ourselves short of options.

It really is ridiculous that Zeq and Sima were both loaned out. Wheeling out Ashworth to ‘justify’ this lunacy won’t cut it with anyone with more than one brain cell.

What is Connolly’s injury anyway? Sorry if it has been mentioned elsewhere.

Brighton factually.....

Bullying Aaron am I ?

The vast majority of fans want Aaron to succeed, but are frustrated, for various reasons, maybe a loan would have done him the world of good, who knows, but we “Brighton” fans want him to prove us wrong, we know he has ability.

As I said earlier today: no, not you.

Who is bullying him then Swanny? He needed a loan. He didn’t get one. He is misfiring again. As has been said be others, we all want him to succeed…

Huh? The BBC guys said he did ok and Potter said he exploited the high Saints defence. We do have a habit of exaggerating players’ faults and AC must be the worst offended against.

Nice little run, call and set-up for Maupay who should have scored.
That alone made it a decent enough cameo.

Did well when he came on. Gave us an out ball by running the channels and set up a brilliant chance for Maupay. Given the time he was on, I’m not sure he could have done much more other than score.

Once again the boy fails to deliver. Commentators called him "ineffective"
Which commentators said that? Certainly not Johnny and Warren on Radio Sussex/Albion on line.

He won a freekick, had a (blocked) attempt on goal, and nearly set up Maupay for a goal during the short time he was on the pitch.
Yes, but apart from that, you'll agree he was a complete waste of space?
