That was a most polite and constructive letter too ELS. I did try to adopt similar principles in mine but the red mist came down just before the end. ;)

Why thank you ;) It's all this peppermint tea I'm drinking at the moment, kind of calms the nerves.

Exactly the same happened to me-decided it would be better for me not join in and deleted my effort before sending it.

Considering their constant barrage of the same old lies, I think Albion fans are to be applauded for their restraint.

"I will pledge £100 to challenge in the High Court John Pescott's decision to trash Falmer village and an AONB but only if 100 other local people will too."

John PESCOTT.

Give me strength...

There are some splendid pledges on other topics on that site. I particularly enjoyed this one ...

"I will vow not to buy a Sony BMG audio album/single for 2 years but only if 100 other people will too."

— David Webster, believer in common sense rights

Deadline to sign up by: 31st December 2005
49 people have signed up, 51 more needed

Only 49 people have signed.

Which must mean that there are BILLIONS of people, all over the world, who are rushing out to buy products that will wreck our computers and destroy NSC.

I feel VERY afraid.

I went back and added my little missive-had to let the red mist clear otherwise I'd have confirmed their stereotype of football fans.

I have this wonderful image in my head of the cretin running the pledge thingy checking its progress tomorrow morning...

I couldn't resist reporting his post:

"This chap seems confused, he is concerned to support those trying to combat the excessive power whielded by vocal and organised minorities, yet he is backing the vocal minority opposed to there being a new stadium in the deprived Moulsecombe ward."

Must be something about the air in Guildford-I reported him too.

Have you noticed this: I copied it from there:

I really don't see the sense in posting inflamatory comments on this pledge site, it doesn't help our cause in any way. If you are going to post, just stick to the facts, you can show emotion in your words without being rude or abusive.
