For clarity, could you explain what you dislike about Warne's commentary?

Awww look, does he need a reason?
Er, no. I thought I might learn something about the deficiencies of Warne's commentary, that's all.

Lunch, Day 1, session interrupted briefly by a light rain shower.

Australia 72-3 (19 overs), Rogers 35* Voges 12*

That is a great response from England after Lords. Wrestling some of the momentum from Australia. The series is alive and kicking.

As it should be, the next session is going to be crucial!

Interesting... Anderson, Broad and Finn seem more likely to be 'dangerous' than Moeen Ali, and perhaps bowling first would actually be our best chance of taking a bit of the momentum back?

I don't think I would mind either way on this occasion... it will be down to how the top order batsmen and/or the opening bowlers perform as to whether we have a better time than at Lords.

Australia 3 down by lunch :)

Good call ....

That rain break steadied the ship for them.

I can't believe how many times Rogers gets away with a close one early in his innings. Even at Lords for his big innings he played and missed a few times and was edging balls through the slips.

Another light rain delay over lunch... restart scheduled for 14:05.

Another exciting and important session ahead... we can't afford to let Rogers get away on another big one here.

I fancy Stuart Broad to join the party after lunch,

Replays show it came off the toe end as Voges tried to leave it. Just what England needed after lunch :)
