I agree with more crosses into the box & more shots from outside the penalty area.

Lots of goals are scored from deflections and lucky bounces in the box, we can’t always look to score the perfect goal

We very nearly did score with Ayari right at the death from a lucky bounce in the area.

a lot to be said for sometimes firing the ball in low and hard. create your own luck.

This was the annoyance on Saturday.

12 minutes against 9 men, yielded precisely 1 shot on target.
Just run at them, shoot, or whip it into the mixer.

So many options, but we still passed it around like we had all the time in the world.

Crazy stuff.

For the last home game of the season, PB to allow:

Bottle tops and flasks into the ground
You to pass your ticket to anyone you like, without being banned
A free pie and pint to make up for the double defeats to Palace

That's not entirely true, 9 of those 12 minutes had Lacioux on the floor getting treatment. BTW I've since heard from a source I trust that he wasn't 'concussed' at all, he was winded; but now they have to pay the consequences as because they made a concussion sub he has to sit out next weekend, along with Gueihi and possibly still Richards.

Lacroix went down before full time.
I was counting the minutes - he was down for 6 minutes from the 80th minute.

I can't remember a time where we've had a 16 year old play regularly and comfortably in the u21s (8 goals and 4 assists this season) ? (let alone 2 as Simmonds has played there all season too)
Even Jack Hinshelwood was 17 when he made his PL2 debut.
Evan Ferguson scored three goals for the U-23s (as they were then) in 11 appearances during 2020-21, his U-16 schoolboy season. He was a regular the following season until he became a member of the first team squad.

Yes, but the last seven games referred to by the OP are't in PL2, are they? Agree both are precosious talents, but that doesn't mean we've got another Wayne Rooney or Trevor Francis coming up through the ramks!

No perhaps not - but another Jack Hinshelwood or Lewis Dunk …?

And yep remote chance either get a PL squad appearance this season.

They weren't 16 or 17 in the first team either. But would I mind Fab giving them a go (once everything is effectively settled whechever which way)? No, not at all!
Don't think it will happen though. Next season, maybe..........................

As it's Easter:

Wieffer rising from his sick bed like the parable of Jesus and the crippled bloke and demonstrating that perhaps after all, he is (as Weir suggested) one of the best deep lying midfielders in Europe.

João Pedro geeing up the fans AFTER he's actually scored a goal from open play.

Southern....

Nope can't expect that many miracles.

Obviously I want to see us win them all and sail into the European spots but this is about player achievements:

1. Danny Welbeck to scored two more league goals and make it to double figures for the first time in his career
2. Lewis Dunk to score to keep his record going of having scored in every PL season of ours
3. Veltman to return and get his traditional one goal for the season
4. Joao Pedro to make it to 10 league goals, something he didn’t manage last season
5. Gruda to get his first goal for the club
6. Ferdi back fit and playing to set him up for next season
7. Ayari to finally get the goal he’s been so close to.

I won’t get them all but here’s hoping.
what about the other six games
