yes he inherited a stable club,but homeless.At the end of the day its people that actually believe we would have folded if it wasn't for mr knight,but i disagree fully,as im very sure we would have survived.Ifs and butts as we all no.

He got us home indeed,but as said many times,wasn't that the priority for andy new chairman Delays have occured for sure,and you will also find that the board caused a bulls up themselves which cost us about a year.

If DK hadn't been around someone would have taken up the gauntlet but once DK had shown his hand and used Brady to back him up people like Samrah jumped into his bed without examing his track record and his ability. Then again Samrah may have been blinded by his alledgedly being offered a job at the club and we're not talking DJ's either.
Hindsight is best sight and I remember the dissenting voices at the time and even the devil himself warned that DK was not the messiah that he had been painted as and didn't have the ability or the financial resources to sustain a club such as the Albion especially a homeless one and the need to find and build a new ground.

"Stable but homeless", committed to spending the rent for Gillingham even if we didn't play there; with a team that finished in 23rd place in division 4; with crowds of 2-3,000. Homelessness cost us £1.5m in 2 seasons.

"he got us home", so what? Spending £1m developing a stadium he didn't own, for the benefit of supporters and Brighton and Hove generally, anyone could have done that - but didn't. It was hard enough persuading the City to allow Withdean, let alone their own Nimbys. He did a superb job getting us home.

"delays have occurred for sure" They are hadrly the board's fault, are they. If you're willing to dismiss DK's achievements on the basis that anyone else could have done it, so should you with the problems he's faced, not of his own making.

DK's not a god, he's a man. But I am pleased with his achievements at BHA. Question him by all means, express your opinions, but be constructive and stop moaning.

I see you many points and valid ones indeed,but the point is the homework wasn't done was it.Just jumped in and gone with the flow it seems.Its not moaning pal its what is happening,so regardless of what you say the club have clocked up millions of £s in debt in a reasonably short space of time.Not to mention they have also recieved a whopping estimated £3 million in players and compensation etc.Not to mention gareth barry estimated 1 million around the gillingham days.

Money has came in pretty well,and this is the most money the club have ever recieved in there history over this time.You say you are pleased with dicks achievements,well nothing is acheived yet thats a fact,the only thing we have acheived is crippling debts,o and a bit of luck on the field.

You forgot to mention the stupid deal agreed with Ecovert, and the PROMISED £2million to spend on players that gained our support! What did we ever see of that?

As you are in the Land Down Under, it is probably reasonable to assume that you have suffered little, if any, of the shit negative football, joke facilities and rip-off prices that we suffer every week! If you want to know why people are complaining, try it for yourself week-in and week-out.

no names mentioned but I am fecking astonished at the table-thumping attitude by some of the people on here.

I work in finance with venture Capital finance, rescue packages and the immediate after-effects of administration once the decision has been taken to go that way. We also help with companies that are coming out of administration, MBO's etc.

It is a question of plain maths. I do not see the board has been less than honest with what we need. I will say, and check the ask the club, that I fear the worse in my dark hours. I want to know more but there are some utterly invariable inevitabilities with running a business.

There is a short-fall of 2million quid over the last 7 years. We have to raise that by the end of the season to be able to have a structure for the next finacial year without taking losses forward, but also for the investment that will come with the new stadium. You assume as a business that the goals set will be reached and have the structure to be able to meet the demands that those goals will bring.

If you sit on your fat hairy arse saying Falmer will not happen or open you stupid vacous gob about Pende and other sites you have the luxury to do that. as a director Brighton and Hove albion football club you do not.

You take the option that the directors, acting in the best interest of the club, deem to be the most beneficial. Falmer for Us.

You then structure the immediate and future finances of the business to get you to that goal and then past that goal and the future.

We cannot do this with the debts that exist at the moment and those losses must be dealt with.

Players are assets and therefore they will be sold to the highest bidder to enable the club to survive. Some companies need to purchase machines that will do the jobs of thirty people and at twice the speed.which will sometimes cost amounts of money far greater than their own net worth. It can be dome and is done. Lending rationales are part of banks and finace institutions criteria.

We are in the same boat. No prospective lender or investor will want to put money into the Falmer development when we go to talk to them about it 6 months 1 year before hand when we are 2 million quid in debt and owe the Inland revenue nearly half a million squid.

Oohhhhh we should say I know that we are potless and incapable of restructuring our finances but we have a very good centre-half.

Keep the business afloat anyway you can until you can get the right site, the right finances and the right investors who see you as a long-term investment, a VIABLE COMMERCIAL INVESTMENT, rather than a couple of quid because they're your local team.

Doing things right very rarely meant getting them done quickly. lance the boil. It will be painful but it will clean the wound once and for all.
