The Withdean Wave, when the We Want Falmer chant started...
Surely the slowest Mexican Wave EVER?

I was in the North Stand and watched it start in the singing section then very slowly make it's way across the South Stand

Shame the people in the directors' box were the only ones to stand for "Stand up if you want Falmer" It can't be because you didn't know because the whole of the South Stand were up on their feet with just about everybody singing along.

Unless I missed you all standing up in unison when I looked away for a couple of seconds?

That was Liz Costa, Sarah Watts and others in the Blue Rinse Mafia. They were sitting directly behind me.

What mexican wave I was in B Block never reached there. Although we all stood up when stand up if you want Falmer was sung.

I must have been at a different game - Mexican wave? Falmer yes spelt out by blue rinsers? Brighton scoring three goals?

OK - I saw the three goals.

Lucky us then as Mexican waves are sad and should not be done at all.

They are embarrassing and as usual in Portugal on Wednesday they tried doing one and the England end treated it with the contempt it deserved.

To a degree Mr. Thimble I agree - although some mexican Waves can be happy - for instance when a Mexican loved one has been away earning a crust to support his family and returns to be seen in the distance by his life partner, a wave can be very emotional and denotes recognition of a loved ones return.

Other than that they are pants

Well I was in H block and stood up twice. Was definitely snail's pace though. Very geriatric Mexican Wave/Stand Up If You Want Falmer type thing!

And what more than 3-0 do we want before we make some noise? WAY too quiet today.

EDIT - Sorry, ignore me. I wasn't in H-Block. I'm talking out my arse. I was in A-Block. D'UH!
