I genuinely love both tripe and oysters.

Hot chilli sauce with shrimp and fish sounds pretty banging. Probably need a rebrand if they want to conquer the globe though.

They actually sell it in the world food aisle at Asda. True story, I first encountered it on the off chance back in 2014, and was going to give it a try out of intrigue, only at the time Africa was at the height of its Ebola outbreak and I have this weird phobia about contracting a life threatening virus.

So I put the jar back, and we all lived happily ever after...

The vagueness of 'fish' really sells it to me.

I’ve always been wary of ‘meat’ curries in Indian restaurants.

“Excuse me waiter, why does this dish not specify what meat the ‘meat’ is?”

“Oh, that’s just because we can’t, technically, call it ‘lamb’ sir”.

“Oh, I see, so it’s mutton then?”

“Err...yeah, mutton, why not...”

Our local speciality is the "Guiseley Growler" - basically a pork pie but as big as your head.

Tried and Also Wilsons in Leeds are fine pie makers.

That's a newer term. Back in the 90s it was served as a Pie Barm or a Wigan Surprise.

I was in Wigan Chip Shop in the 90s and someone ordered one before me in the queue.

I can tell you I was ****ing surprised at what came over the counter.
