The truth about Dan Harding

Basically he was prepared to commit to the club by signing a new contract promised by Dick Knight, however Dick Knight withdrew this contract when he became alerted of Leeds's interest and showed Harding the door ... great servant to the club and shouldn't be booed tommorrow night :albion2:

Are you saying DK forced him out, knowing that he would get compensation for him? Sounds feasible but unlikely IMO, given how little tribunals generally pay out.

'The truth about Dan Harding' seems to have been removed. Is that Pravda at work? (Or Prada, as I once heard it described by one thick sloane).

Or some embarrassed self-censorship?

see for me the leaving wasn't a big deal , I don't begrudge any player wanting to make a big move (or in this instance Harding moving to Leeds :p )

my major annoyance with the guy is the way he just seemed to let his game slide when he realised that he was getting out of here , his defending was halfarsed and lazy as soon as he thought a big club would come knocking

honestly the worst thing that could happen to him did with that blasted England under-21s call up

I remember at the time, the laziness that is FourFourTwo ran an article on the 50 best players outside the Premiership. Brighton had two players on that list. Leon Knight and Dan Harding - the latter being 26th on that list.

It was suggested by some that he wasn't even the 26th best player for Brighton.

Never liked him, he may have had talent but he cost us points by wondering out of position and getting caught out. Shit.

that wasn't a 'fee' that was given to us in a tribunal

in reality knight had no idea how much we would get- just look at what happened to palace with bostock

He took some stick a couple of seasons ago at Elland Road. The Albion faithful singing "You should have stayed at a big club" definately affected him as he put in a poor performance that afternoon.
