Having just moved from L.A too Beeding i have been been scouting the pubs,the Swiss is cheap 2 meals for £9.00 but better are the Crown and Anchor and the Bridge both have good food.

You certainly get what you pay for at the Swsiss. The food is cheap crap.
I had a gammon steak there once, stringy and undercooked. Sent it back and asked for another one - it came back the same. Had my meal knocked off the bill at least, but it really is the pits.

serves beer and has a garden which is good enough. Don't expect rosette food though. Few birds in summer

go the Bridge just down from Swiss - good food and nice garden next to river.

The Swiss had a bit of a makeover a while ago, BIG mistake, I used enjoy going down there, you paid for what you got back then and it was ok, but since the change, the place has gone downhill.

The swiss is ok, food is shit do don't bother, more of a family pub with screaming kids in the summer
