I do love it that people are still doubting Crouch, his link up play is up there with both Owen and Rooney and his goalscoring record for England is excellent. Look at the goal he scored in the Hungary game, he didn't look up once from when he recieved the pass and he placed it right in the bottom corner and his third against Jamaica was a brilliant finish. The boy has talent, this is undeniable, and he will be very effective in the world cup.

Absolutely. I don't see how anyone can put a negative spin on a striker scoring goals and clearly beoming more comfortable with being an England player. Owen ALWAYS delivers in big games, hopefully Rooney will recover for the knockout stages and Crouch will do whatever is asked of him like the great team player he is.

Bubbling up very nicely methinks.

He scores two goals (one a tap in on the line) against a pub team going under the name of Jamaica and people are shooting their loads left right and centre. Eleven goals for Liverpool in 41 appearances last season is a more realistic summation of Mr Crouch's ability against top class defences. Only my opinion of course, but I just can't get carried away with all the Crouchmania on here, sorry.

And how many goals did Rooney score in the qualifiers ZERO, I would rather have Crouch up front than risk Rooney, all it will take is a defender risking a yellow card and stamping on the problem foot and we will be back in Portugal again

What if the same defender risks a yellow and stamps on Crouch's foot and breaks his metatarsal, as we all know doesnt take much these days.

He'll be sent off for two bookable offences?

:lolol:

My point was if we're not going to play Rooney because he might get injured, surely all our players risk injury, ergo none of them should play.

So we shouldn't play Rooney in case he gets injured and then can't play ?

if jamaica are a pub team, then what are azerbaijan? and rooney couldnt score agains them

3 goals in a game at international level is good no matter who the opposition are

I was meaning we are not a one man team, Rooney is not the reason will will or will not win the world cup and yes Rooney stands more chance of injury due to the fact that defenders will automatically target his foot which will not be as strong as it was before the injury.
