The ref and Lino's were embarrassing! Ruined the game.

Did we do enough? Nope
Did we deserve the win? Nope, draw would have been very fair today.
Were brum good? Not really - wonder goal from the only chance they had and a half chance at best. They defended ok against an average attacking performance from us today.

You can't help feel hard done by from the officials performance today though. Completely shocking and if those 'offsides' hadn't been wrongly given we could have been more than average in attack and then my analysis of our attack and their defence might have been different. But you can only base it on what was played I suppose.

If I was poyet I would have put Barnes in the middle at half time, taken off Dobbie and brought on lualua sooner but thats very easy for me to say that after the game. Sometimes I feel he leaves it too late when plan A isn't working (based on today and last season) but I suppose it has worked this season so far until today so no panic just yet and far from it.

Still top so can't complain with our start. Would have taken 16 points all day long from the first few games! Bring on those scummy tractor boys!

Hove (actually)
Yep, can't claim it definitely changed the result but the 3 officials were as poor as I've seen in a very long time. Just completely incompetent effort on the offsides - one in particular in 1st half when the bald lino clearly reacted to the Brum CB's appealing rather than actually Applying the laws of the game would've been hilarious if not against us.

Also general consistency unbelievably poor on what constitutes a foul (one given against elBad for a jumping offence would not have been a foul in Basketball or one of those other cissy yank non-contact sports) or a booking (Greer ok, but Brum defender committed exactly same foul 3 minutes later and not booked; Robinson through the back of Buckley early doors to "let him know he is there" was a clear yellow that ref forgot about as played advantage (or more likely completely missed it)).

Personal gripe: Ref actually warned their skipper about time wasting in the 49th minute when the keeper took twenty years to take a free kick. From then on he let them throw and kick the ball away at our free kicks and throws, stand 3 yards from our free kicks (Lita's main job in 2nd half) or crawl off the pitch when substituted whilst just staring at his watch. Get the cards out man - that will stop them! Didn't Koosh get a yellow at Burnley without even a warning? Their whole team got a warning via the skipper, so any time wasting after that should've been stamped on.

:rant:My throat is still sore after yelling at the officials from Lower East, absolute joke...rarely has my blood boiled so much. Have to say Bridge was fantastic but we missed Bruno and CMS badly for that cutting edge.

What is it with officials whos name begin with 'P' ....Linesman with the yellow flag was Powell and we have had the two worst refs in the world IMO with Prosser and Pawson

here and there
How was that handball at the North end not a penalty and how was it not a free kick when Buckley went down in the second half?

Buckley just fell over too easily- that decision was ok. Didn't see the handball but some offside decisions looked mad
